I need a web hosting provider for a new ecommerce web site I started. I might want a dedicated server or a reseller account, but shared might work too. I'm starting up a new site that will feature some of my artwork and I want people to be able to buy posters.
What's a good place to find a web hosting provider or a good web host?
Hi! For private or public, commercial or non, you can build sites free at PBWiki.com. The size limit for free accounts is 10 MB, and you can build unlimited pages. It has your choice of a conventional HTML editor, or a point-and-click editor (you can switch back and forth , as you work.). If you need more storage space, their rates start at 9.95 a month.
There is another called "Freewebs" and it is one I'm just checking on for details. Perhaps you'd like to go to their site, also.
Reply:try this i am currently using this, you can upload your own website here and it also have some great features like having your own email account. the good thing......... its free

Reply:If you like to create websites (usually you will end up more than 1 website, I got more than 100 websites in about 6 months' time), go for multiple web hosting services where you could host all your websites in one account.
I would like to suggest following webhosting which I use, they are excellent.
Hostmonster http://www.hostmonster.com/track/ryukend...
They offer hosting of "unlimited domains" and you will get massive webspace of 300000 MB (300 GB ). They only charge $5.95/month and they offer "a free Domain Name" and installing service called "Fantastico". By using Fantastico, you could create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer "Free Website Builder" as well.
Visit the site to check details.

Reply:If you are planing to use your website for business purpose, do not go for cheapest option. What if your website is not available 10% of the time ? Rather try a good web hosting provider like http://aplis.net/
Else you can use free webhosting provider like awardspace
Reply:Try http://www.hostrankings.com to compare hosts quickly
Also look into reading reviews on sites like CNET or PC Magazine they usually put out a recommended web hosting list. IX Hosting or Lunarpages are said to be pretty good, I know a lot of people who have used them and they give you a lot of storage for the price.
Reply:there are many good hosting servers available.
check their customer service record, up time record and of course compare prices between hosting services.
Reply:If you want the ability to start modestly and resell right away while keeping your option of moving to a dedicated server eventually, I'd recommend going with a Virtual Private Server - it's just like having your own server without having to manage it yourself.
You get a control panel that lets you create unlimited domains, FTP users, email addresses, etc. and the cost is minimal - starting around $5.95/mo depending on the plan you select.
There's a good review of some of the top providers at http://www.unlimitedhostland.com
Good luck!
Reply:why don't u try http://www.ilabshosting.com
