How do i build my own website using my own hosting and close to unlimited space?
Build a REAL website with the tools you need to run your business. Integrated shopping cart, calendars, maps, flash, design tools, image editing, search engine submission, site search, forms and even databases.

Don't get fooled into thinking Yahoo or GoDaddy or any other company like that can help unless you already know A LOT about building a site.

Reply:Creating a website has got the following elements

Domain name: This is the address that any person has to enter in browser to reach your website. if you want your site name only followed by .com or .net or .org etc(like yourname.com or yourcompanyname.org) you will have to register the domain name from an accredited registrar like http://www.godaddy.com . This will cost around $10 for 1 year registration and it varies depending on the registrar. If you don't want to spend on domain, then there are free subdomain providers like http://netfirms.com , http://50webs.com , which can give you website addresses like http://yourname.50webs.com or http://yourname.netfirms.com . Usually these free subdomain providers also provide free web space also

Web space : Having a domain name is only first part and you need some webspace in some webserver, where you will actually upload the files of your website. As I mentioned free subdomain providers usually give free webspace assosiated with the subdomain they provide. But in the case of registering your own domain, then you may have to purchase webspace from a webhosting provider. After purchasing webspace you have to link your webspace with domain from the control panel provided by your domain registrar. Most domain registrar like http://www.godaddy.com has also provide hosting packages also.

Web pages designing: This is the actual designing of the files that will be put in your webspace. Either you can learn html to create web pages or use programs like microsoft frontpage to design the html pages. After you create the webpages of your site in your computer, you have to upload them to the webspace using an FTP program. Your webspace provider will be giving you the ftp address, user name and password for doing ftp to your webspace.
Reply:google web servers, u need a hosting server first, then u need a domain name to put the site on such as www.name.com

then u need to make the site using html, u can google this easily, or u can use wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) programs to build your website.. frontpage or dreamweaver
Reply:If you currently are a web subscriber, your current provider offers a homepage into which you can FTP your current webpage(s) [which can be authored/designed using NotePad, MSN Word, FrontPage, DreamWeaver, etc.] and use the homepage hosting services. In a sense, you are hosting a commercial webpage via the homepage link and incurring merely the monthly access of, say, AOL.com, etc. Nevertheless, should you want to link your current domain name to the homepage URL, you'll need to use a third-party redirection service, i.e., mydomain.com [which is free] or simply direct your domain name registry, i.e., godaddy.com to forward your domain name [with masking] to the link it to your homepage URL. It's that simple.

Good luck!
